2/2/2024 0 Comments Colourpop bling time paletteUnlike my other palette reviews, for which I normally do a first impressions/swatching, I have actually used this palette for two weeks so far, just because I was too excited and couldn’t wait to use it and OH MY GOD! Normally I struggle to find an look to start with and it requires some trial and error to get a look going, but this palette gave me so much inspiration from the moment I got my hands on it. For me, there is no shade that doesn’t seem like it will work with any colour you put with it. Typically, palettes provide you with a whole range of colours so you can be creative and experiment with different colour combinations, however for “Yes Please”, Colourpop have provided the colour story on a silver platter, and it’s up to you to put it together in a way that you think works best! Yet again, I think this is great for beginners as it gives you a clear vision, and instead of being overwhelmed with so many different colours, each one in this palette is similar and coincides with every other shade in the palette. Crease shades, base shades, transition shades and all-over-lid shades are present in this palette, which is so good for anyone who is just starting out buying makeup, who doesn’t already own a few shadows to incorporate into a look.Įvery shade can easily be worn with another shade in the palette, which I think isn’t as common to find these days. This is a palette which you definitely can make a hundred different looks from, without needing a shadow that isn’t in the palette. ![]() ![]() One of the first things that I noticed is that unlike all 3 of the other palettes Colourpop has, this one has a staggering EIGHT mattes! Though I don’t mind Colourpop’s typical 4 mattes and 8 shimmers, this is a nice change as you’ll use more mattes than shimmers in a typical look. When mine arrived, the interior was a little dirty, which a makeup wipe easily fixed in seconds! And besides, I’d rather the palette come dirty than broken… But that’s what confuses me why would you create a palette with a pure white interior and exterior? Already I can tell that this will get pretty dirty, just like my magnetic Colourpop palette, but I guess I can just clean it diligently with a wipe, though that might get a little tedious at times. So if you read my last post Colourpop x My Little Pony Collection (link here: x), you’ll know that I purchased it at the same time that I grabbed the MLP Super Shocks and the eyeshadow palette. Retailing for only $16USD, this palette features 12 warm toned and on trend colours, which is probably the reason why it has sold out 7+ times the initial release selling out in just minutes! So fast forward to the most recent restock and I managed to snag this little baby, finally! With the added factor that restock was always at 3 AM/4 AM AEST made it IMPOSSIBLE to get my hands on! With the added bonus that this is a very affordable dupe for a very unaffordable palette which naturally drove the beauty community into overdrive, this made it even harder to get. Yes I know, before you roll your eyes and say “another review on this palette…?” I know, BUT this palette is hyped for a reason and I wanted to know why.Įvery opportunity to get my hands on this palette seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye, with it selling out multiple times before I could get it in my cart.
